Soakin it in.
26-Feb-2011
Life isn't so bad if you're a fluffy cat (not to mention just a tad overweight...) and the sun is shining. Now if only he could just try to relax and enjoy it somehow...
Lynne just sent me this picture of Ottar enjoying a break from the rain and cold. He seems to be dealing with it okay...
In January (the 23rd), Lynne and I went up to see Thomas and Bianka for a brunch with a bunch of Thomas's long-time friends. Thomas and Nicole were in town from Colorado for a visit. Had a fantastic time. Here's the gang....
Love this picture. Thomas is on the far right and his mom Bianka is front right. Thomas's wife Nicole is right behind Bianka and next to Lynne. Pitt is right behind Lynne and Nicole. I probably haven't spoken of the other people in the pic, but rather than leave them nameless.... The woman in front with the newborn(ish) is Meredith, and on either side of me is Markham (with his daughter who's name I've forgotten), and Pete (with the glasses on - they don't have a name that I'm aware of). T and N's daughter Marin is down for a nap so could not make the photo...
21-Feb-2011 A beautiful day to get out in it. Even though it was a bit chilly, and we ended up riding mostly in the shade and on some wet slippery roads.
But here, getting near the end of the ride, was a lovely patch of sun to warm up a little. Just before the final downhill. (That sucked all that warmth back out...)
Turn your volume down because it's just a lot of loud wind noise... sorry about that.
Okay, for those of you who can tell that she's talking, she's making a couple jokes... the first thing she said (as she was touching her helmet, and face) was, "Oh shoot, my makeup is a mess!" And the next thing she said (as she was straightening her vest) was, "Does this vest make me look fat?" Yes, things that she's really quite concerned about out there! ;^)
Rained all day yesterday, and much of the night, but it was beautiful sunny today. Lynne and I went down to Ft. Ord in Monterey area to ride because the trails there can be really sandy. Sandy in the middle of summer is a squirrely drag. Sandy after a big rain is well-packed sticky trails that are fun to ride.

Sorry Julie, I know I should have been working... :^)
