Kittens

(With a blog title like Kittens, I'm sure to be a big hit on the internet.)

So...

The Kitten Crusaders at work (or as I call them, the Crazy Cat Ladies - CCLs), had been monitoring a pregnant (feral?) mom cat for awhile who finally gave birth right outside Building A in the garden/patio area.  That was three weeks ago.  And you know what that means.... there are three week old kittens sleeping in a pile somewhere.  :)

In an effort to cut down on the feral cat population, they grabbed the kittens, and are in the process of trapping the mom to get them all fixed and fostered until placement can happen.  The fostering is going to happen in stages, with various CCLs taking the kittens at different times.  The first leg of the fostering is happening.... here.  Yes, Lynne is one of the CCLs.

Here's a couple of piles of kittens (OMG!)

They do get hungry, and they seem to be sort of on the edge of eating on their own, but bottle feeding still needs to happen.  Here's what happens when they wake up hungry and hear you rustling around...

And here's the bottle feeding

There are three females and two males, and though this is a fairly bad out-of-focus picture, it does show that chaos (KAOS, Max!) is starting to reign already....

I'm sure there will be no more cute kitten pictures in the coming weeks......

Ridiculously cute - just make sure they stay away from the bourbon..

There's a chance that we'll end up without *any* kittens out of this. Hmmm... there's always a chance.

Yes. Ridiculously insanely cute. And don't worry, I didn't let you take the bourbon... they don't have a chance!

well I did take a good amount away with me, just already out of the bottle and in my stomach. seems like a better way to transport bourbon anyway.
